Utsuroiうつろひ2015
未生流笹岡家元である笹岡隆甫氏とのコラボレーションによって作られた作品。笹岡
隆甫氏によって作られた生け花を、-200度の液体窒素に入れて凍らせガラスのように
固まった時に物を当てて、花が割れる様子をハイスピードカメラで撮影したものであ
る。「朽ちの美」、「もののうつろひ」を表現した作品である。
Utsuroi 2015
This video artwork was created in collaboration with Mr. Ryuho Sasaoka, a leader of Mishoryu
Sasaoka, one of the flower arrangement schools in Japan. Flowers arranged by him are put into
liquid nitrogen with the temperature of 200 degree under zero and frozen like glass flowers.
Then they were broken by being hit with a small hard substance and its process was shot by a
high-speed camera. This video artwork expresses a beauty in decay process and also a passage
of time.
